Pwani University Library visualizes to provide the highest quality of information and knowledge products and services to the entire university community and our esteemed stakeholders.
This is achieved through continuous consultation of the University Council, University Top Management, Senate, Lecturers, and Students coupled with continuous assessment of existing and emerging resources pertinent to senate-approved university programmes.
The success of the library will be contingent on continuing to align library objectives with the Strategic Objectives contained in the University Strategic Plan 2014–2024 (2019 revision).

Currently, the library boasts of her four-storied magnificent structure spanning 7,425 square meters with a total seating capacity of 3,712. It also features an additional open rooftop space spanning 1,856.25 square meters.
The stock and staff are strategically located on the second and third floors, leaving the ground and first floors open for collaborative reading and connectivity to 24/7 Wi-Fi e-resources.
It has a total collection of 50,802 physical print resources including books, CDs/DVDs, Short Loan items, Journals, Reference Materials, Theses, Dissertations, Projects, Research, and Conference papers—all searchable via our
Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).
Similarly, the library subscribes to 40 databases of peer-reviewed journals and articles under the KLISC Consortium arrangement. We maintain a 24/7 Wi-Fi presence with a dedicated V-LAN of 120Kbps connectivity, alongside a state-of-the-art Virtual Library facility equipped with 50 standalone computers dedicated to student research and e-resource access.
