The success of the library will be contingent on continuing to align library objectives with the Strategic Objectives contained in the University Strategic Plan 2014-2024 (2019 revision). Currently the library boosts of her four storied magnificent structure spanning 7,425 square meters with a total sitting capacity of 3,712. It also has an additional open roof top space spanning 1,856.25 square meters. 

 

The stock and staff are strategically located on the second and third floors leaving the ground and first floor open for collaborative reading and connectivity to a 24/7 WIFI e-resources connectivity. It has a total collection of  50,802 physical print resources that can be accessed on OPAC at http://maktaba.pu.ac.ke/

The collection is composed of books, CD/DVDs, Short Loan, Journals, Reference Materials, Theses, Dissertations, Projects, Research and Conference papers. Similarly, it subscribes to 40 databases of peer reviewed journals and articles under the KLISC Consortium arrangement. It has a 24/7 WI-FI presence and a dedicated V-LAN of 120Kbps connectivity. It has a Virtual Library facility with 50 standalone computers for student’s research and e-resource access. I invite you all who share our passion for lifelong learning.
